The conditions were perfect last Saturday: bluebird already early in the morning for the practice runs of the 22 participants of the contest. The youngsters had to show their skills on the Medium Line of the park with 4 different boxes and rails, a kink rail, as well as a kicker line with two jumps.
There were three qualification runs out of which two runs counted for the judges. Among others, headjudge Thomas “Beckna” Eberharter had to rate the tricks on the rails and the two jumps.
Tom Tramnitz entered the finals on pole position, closely followed by Tom Klocker and Georg Huber. The three riders dominated the finale along with Paul Dreher, Simon Pircher, Stefan Kofler, Daniel Rajcsanyi and Florian Corzelius.
Third place went to Simon Pircher from Westendorf with his constant bs 720 to fs 720. Tom Tramnitz got second with tricks like nosepress bs 180 off and bs 540 nosegrabs, sw bs 720 and fs 720 tailgrabs.
For the second time in a row, local rider Tom Klocker won the title of best rider under 18 in the Vans Penken Park with sw ollie to sw backtail 270 out, fs 540 and cab 720 to sw bs 900. The riders on the first three places won the teamticket for the qualification of the Wängl Tängl which will take place from 14 to 21 March 2009 in the Vans Penken Park!
