Weather in Mayrhofen

There is no such thing as bad weather - there is only bad equipment.

Have you ever been outside after a rain shower? If yes, you may have noticed that all of a sudden the air smells a lot better than before. This phenomenon appears to be even stronger in alpine forest regions. The air is filled with aromatic smells of trees and bushes. You can literally smell how fresh and clean the air is up here.
  • Waft of mist...
Imagine being on a forest track that is covered in wafts of mist. Lichen and moss hanging down from the trees. In your imagination the trees and bushes turn to friendly creatures accompanying you on your hike.
  • Covered in Clouds...
The rain has stopped. The valleys and mountains are still covered in mist. You step into a gondola and get lifted towards the sun in only a few minutes. Everything else is unimportant compared to the endless freedom you experience up above the clouds, surrounded by our beautiful mountains and pastures that are still steaming from the rain.
  • Sun...
Sun - light - life! You are sitting in front of a mountain hut or on a mountain pasture and feel how tired you are from today’s hike. The sun is shining in your face, the wind is cool and refreshing – life is beautiful! What a shame that holidays cannot last forever!

Holidays start in your mind!
