Vans is our partner of the snowpark in Mayrhofen
With the best known board sport label Vans as our partner, we have redesigned the snowpark in Mayrhofen and added some demanding obstacles. to create the Vans Penken Park, a whole slope had to be turned into a gigantic snowpark with chill area. The park with new rails, kickers, boxes and four separate lines (Public-, Fun-, Pro-, Jibline) guarantees a lot of fun for beginners and professionals. Discover the relaxed atmosphere in the Chill Area of our enlarged Snowpark. Watch and admire the artistically finesse of the freestylers ripping the park or get infected by the action and make your first freestyle experiences on our newly developed beginners line. The 4-person chairlift Sunjet runs high above and at the exact length of the Vans Penken Park – making it a real Funjet since it gives riders the chance to do many runs a day while giving them a sensational view, too. Together with our partner Vans, we have set the stage for the new hotspot of the international freestyle scene.

Beginners take their first steps on mini kickers, experienced riders improve their style on many rails and professionals will love the perfectly shaped gigantic kickers. With its four different lines, Fun, Public , Pro, and Jib, the Vans Penken Park in Mayrhofen is a true challenge for every freestyler. Thus, beginners don’t feel put under pressure by any impatient professionals waiting for their turn and professionals don’t have to take of beginners who are trying to take it slow. Stefan Plattner (AUT) - full time shaper - has put a lot of creativity and care into the park to give it a new and modern character. To gain some input, he is keeping close contact with the pro riders, he will change the park a couple of times during the season and adapt it to the rider’s skills – day by day.

All varieties of modern freestyle
Boarders and freeskiers can practice and perfect their first tricks in the halfpipe, slide on rails with their boards or simply hang out in the chill out area between Pro- and Public Line and admire the artistic finesse of other riders. Special attractions are the spectacular rainbow box and the stunning wallride at the end of the park. The Vans Penken Park in Mayrhofen offers what modern freestyle is made of. Especially our Pro Line attracts the freestyle elite from all over the world.

The Sunjet lift becomes the Funjet
Its south-facing slope does not only guarantee soft landings in springtime, it also gives you a nice taint most of the time. And thanks to its separate lift, freestylers can also be right in the middle when going up the mountain. With the enlargement of the Vans Penken Park, the slope which has been accessed by the Sunjet lift so far, was turned into a park area with kickers and rails making the lift this year’s Funjet to the Vans Penken Park. Additionally, the lift has exactly the same length as the park ensuring you many runs a day; it runs directly above the park, so freestylers do not only have the chance to watch the pros shredding and learn from them, they can maybe show their own riding skills and be admired.

Mayrhofen hosting Five-Star-Event
And again, one of the most important snowboard events in Austria will go down in Mayrhofen at the end of the season. Thanks to the perfect event organisation and a productive cooperation with Mayrhofner Bergbahnen, the Ästhetiker Wängl Tängl Contest 2007 has been ranked as a Five-Star Event in the Swatch “Ticket To Ride” World Snowboard Tour. The second largest ranking for such an event. In fact, there are only two Five-Star Events in Europe. Mayrhofen will further host the Austrian Freeski Open and other snowboard events this winter. With the Ästhetiker Jam and the Austrian Open, two of the most important freestyle events will take place in the Vans Penken Park. Freestyle at its best in a park of it’s own.

Mayrhofner Bergbahnen – that’s how a park should be.
